So long evolution ... potpourri blog post ;-)

This will probably be our last post on evolution, a topic we have learned a lot about but I am sure you must agree we are ready to move on to Artificial Intelligence soon.

This video is about Lucy. It is only 2 minutes and a half long. Check it out. Did she have a heart attack or what?

I also found this one aboutabout Homo Sapiens and Neanderthal that lasts 5 minutes.

And links keep coming ...
this site where you will find the Genographic Project which is a kind of atlas of when and where ancient humans moved around the world. It is from National Geographic.
Here is the hominid timeline and another one with some cartoons.

Arianna recommends this video about Darwin and the tree of life.

Finally, in order to wrap up this theme, I wonder if there are any "evolution songs" you can think of. The only one that makes me remember our ancestors roaming through Africa and Europe is again by Metallica. Here you can find the lyrics and here the video. Is there a connection between the lyrics of this song and some ideas on the evolution of man?

Through the never

We analyzed the song "Through the never" in class last Tuesday and I still wonder if the heavy rock band Metallica read any of our articles to get inspired for this song, ha, ha. Do you think they did some research before they wrote it at least?

Here is the song, anyway, and the lyrics in case you want to listen to it. This is the direct link in case of problems. The song is about 4 minutes long and it really starts in the 40th second. One likes it after listening to it around 10 times (I honestly like it a lot !!!). Are there any other songs about the universe? Have you heard any? I can think of a couple, but they are not as good as Metallica´s (in every sense).

I get this embeddable codes from Radioblogclub but they have a limited number of songs.

Adriana Gil mentioned a video about Bob Marley last week. You can watch it here

Alberto recommended Monty Python`s Galaxy song

Carla suggests one on taking care of Earth.
