There is surprising and unjust the decrease of the financing of our university, because the education shouldnt take part of the clashes and political changes.
In addition, the students of the USB and other universities are the future of our country. So what is in risk is the future of Venezuela.
And also there are the workers who fight for our well-being, what will happen with them?

The education does not have price...!

I'm agree with you, Georgina.. students are the future of the country and the world too.. but, as we can see the government don't see that!.. they can't see how serious is all this.. they just think how to make more and more money!.. even if that implies the decline of our University and the all others.. the education. It's really amazing.. when I though they couldn't do anymore stupid things.. they comes with a new one!.. because is not only the students.. the teachers and the all employees are involved too!.. so.. what are we going to do..? :S

I think that is so unfair for all the students this determination. We are the future of Venezuela, so, we have to study and work for it..! We need the support to the goverment and the authorities.
Is so important create groups in the college to share information like assemblies where we can give our opinion or ideas about this situation.
We have to be a team to fight for our country and for for us, because Venezuela need intelligent people that can be represent it every day..!! The education is the first step for achieve it..! We can do it!!

This is an issue that has me quite concerned, I hardly believe that the government decision to reduce the money it gives to something of such importance as the country's universities, which are forming professionals of tomorrow.
The sad part is that with this situation the USB won't be able to continue with a series of projects that would help to its development of the university.

So we as active members of this university must look for options that allow USB to grow and improve and overcome this financial crisis

As I have read our university will have fewer financial resources so they had to make many changes in the estimates for this year. Financial crisis in our university is a huge problem that will affect everyone in USB, students, teachers and employees.

In my opinion this decision taken by the government is really unfair because Education is a human right. Venezuela needs to have a good and proud education even more at the level of Universities. Because all the students that are studying in universities will be professionals and our country will be on their hands. So if they are not well educated, they won’t have the “tools” to solve problems and make changes in Venezuela.Then... What will be the future of Venezuela?

In addition, USB is characterized for making many experiments. To make them is important to have money because there are many instruments that have to be bought in USA or other countries what make them more expensive.

The good point is that USB has like associations that help it like “Asociación de amigos de la USB”. Nevertheless we need to find new ways to help our University before is too late.

Hi Georgina, Romina, Mayerlin, Ma. Alejandra and Carla,
I agree with what most of you have said. The Ministry wants more students at universities but with less money to take care of them and no new positions for new professors. Many at USB are reaching the retirement age and Heads of Departments do not know what to do as there is no money provisions for new professors. So you can guess what the future will hold very soon. Really sad ;-(

I believe that so that a country comes out ahead and happens to be a developed underdeveloped country to one, must promote the education, because it is as well as they would form professional so that they lodge the different problems from the country, the university cannot much less be a political problem that is discussed and to exert pressure in the students. this condemning or rather then estariamos condemning to us to live in the misery and total delay. Also this affects to thousands of families who work in the universities and depend on that pay to survive in the poverty that exists

In my opinion is so unfair the decrease of budget of USB besause the education is the most import in culture of a nation, a country. The government must be to foment education, wihout it is imposible go to a progress, thing that is so import to Venezuela. All of USB students must be cooperate from help to our studies house. I think that is a good idea, for example, increase the price of food tickets to contribute with USB... This situation is really sad but well everybody is time to cooperate.

Hello!. This reduction in the budget, is another of the major decisions taken by this government, which does not realize that education is not an expense but an investment for a better future, full of achievements and benefits for all Venezuela.

I really believe this has a direct impact upon a person who believes in the power of education and thus the importance of improving it.

This university is the best one of Venezuela, and this problem of the financial crisis at USB will cause a strong effect at the university. In my point of view, we need to do something to tell to the government that this money is very important to have the university in great conditions. And tell them that the internet is a very important source to find and get research with the project or studies.

Well, I think that once again shows the inefficiency of those responsible for education and the Venezuelan economy. While at this moment our nation faces a quite remarkable economical crisis, I think that if you take the necessary plans to reduce costs luxuries, should not be affecting the education of our country. Education being an important factor to emerge from Venezuela where he has long stalled. Venezuela will definitely need more than a renewal of representatives, an awareness campaign and people who truly want progress and love our country

I think that this is a very important problem that must be resolved sooner, because it will affetc to all the students of the universities around the country, so the future of Venezuela could be in risk.

I think this process and
decision affect all our university and each of us. we most think
what will happen after all the pressure and limitations that government are imposing to us. will be the usb the same green areas that open the doors to make the campus a beautiful park? no just it, what will happen with all the people who doesn't have the opportunities to eat everyday in subway or in the Amper? we most defend our autonomy to this problematics and politics things don't affect us as universitary comunity.
